Email Deliverability Consulting
Services
Every email program is different, but the problems follow patterns. Authentication records that look correct but have gaps in coverage. Delivery issues that appear suddenly and trace back to configuration details that were never fully documented. I work through those patterns systematically — starting with a clear picture of where things actually stand, then building toward solutions with defined scope and deliverables so you know exactly what you’re getting before work begins.
Free Entry Point
Start Here: Free Initial Assessment
Not sure where your email program stands? The Initial Assessment is a focused consultation designed to surface your highest-priority issues and identify the right path forward. I review your current authentication setup, infrastructure, and sending practices — then give you a clear picture of what needs attention and which engagement fits your situation. No obligation beyond the conversation.
Includes a pre-consultation review, a 30-minute call requiring only a short questionnaire to prepare, a written summary, and a service recommendation.
Deliverability Services
For organizations working through an active problem, preparing for change, or maintaining a program that has to keep performing.
Triage
Messages going to spam. Delivery rates are dropping without explanation. A provider block with no useful error message. Something changed, and it is not clear what. Triage identifies the cause of the problem, explains it in plain language, and gives you specific actions to take. Delivered in five business days.
Includes a written findings document ranked by severity, specific recommended actions for each issue, and a 30-minute review call to walk through findings.
Organizations experiencing active delivery problems at Gmail, Microsoft, or other major providers. Any size.
Clarity
The program is working, or seems to be. But it has never been formally reviewed. Authentication records may have drifted. A significant change is coming. Or you need documentation of your current technical state for due diligence purposes. Clarity covers authentication configuration, sending infrastructure, permission and list management, and monitoring coverage. Risk-ranked report and implementation roadmap. Delivered in ten business days.
Includes a written audit report organized by risk level, specific remediation guidance for each finding where appropriate, a sequenced implementation roadmap, documentation, and a one-hour review call.
Organizations sending 100,000+ messages per month preparing for significant changes, scaling, or needing compliance documentation.
Recovery
Delivery has failed in a meaningful way. Messages are not reaching the inbox at Gmail or Microsoft. A provider has issued a block. Complaint rates are elevated. You have tried fixes that have not worked, or do not know where to start. This is a 45-day reputation recovery program, not a one-time assessment. Defined phases, regular check-ins, and documented progress at each stage.
Includes an emergency mitigation plan within 48 hours (if needed), weekly status updates during stabilization, provider communication support where applicable, documentation, a prevention guide and staff training materials, and four scheduled calls.
Organizations with active, significant delivery failure that requires sustained support — not a configuration tweak.
Counsel
The program is in good shape. Delivery is solid. Authentication is configured correctly. But email deliverability is not a problem that stays solved on its own. Authentication standards evolve. Provider filtering changes. Sending patterns drift. Counsel gives you a fixed number of hours each month for questions, change reviews, provider feedback interpretation, and escalation support if something develops.
Available in three tiers: Standard (4 hrs/month), Extended (7 hrs/month), and Embedded (10 hrs/month). Most retainer clients come through a prior project engagement.
Organizations with established, functioning permission-based programs, or those who have recently recovered from a major deliverability issue and want ongoing technical oversight without a full-time hire.
For ESPs and Sending Platforms
Abuse Desk Services
For ESPs and sending platforms that need to build, assess, or rebuild a functional abuse program. These engagements are operational and structural, not assessments handed over and forgotten.
Sentinel
Your abuse desk exists. It may have a name, a dedicated inbox, and someone assigned to it. But if complaint handling runs on institutional memory rather than a documented process, if your team is triaging by feel, or if a blocklist operator asked why a customer is such a long-standing problem and the answer was uncomfortable, the function is not where it needs to be.
A ten-business-day assessment of your abuse function’s current state, covering operations, policy, tooling, and external relationships. Delivered with a written findings report organized by finding category — operational gaps, policy gaps, tooling gaps, and external relationship gaps — each ranked by priority and risk. An accompanying buildout roadmap with recommended sequencing, resource requirements, and success criteria. A one-hour review call to walk through findings.
ESPs and sending platforms with an existing abuse function that has not been formally assessed or documented. The function may be minimal or more developed but uneven.
Bastion
The gap between where your abuse program is and where it needs to be is not something a document closes. Complaint handling workflows, acceptable use enforcement, blocklist operator relationships, FBL management, escalation procedures: these require decisions, coordination, and someone who has done this before to drive the work while your team is doing everything else.
A 90-day engagement to build or substantially rebuild your ESP’s abuse program, with me operating as a fractional abuse program lead throughout. The engagement covers complaint handling workflow design and documentation, feedback loop enrollment and management, acceptable use policy structure and enforcement framework, blocklist operator relationship development and response procedures, sender monitoring and escalation protocols, and staff orientation to the program as it is built. Four scheduled calls. Weekly written status updates during active build phases. Month-to-month continuation available after the initial 90 days.
ESPs and sending platforms that need to build a functional abuse program, not just assess one. No prior assessment engagement required.
Not Sure Where to Start?
The Initial Assessment is designed for exactly that situation. 30 minutes. No cost, no obligation — just a clear picture of where things stand.
